I liked the C&L intake and MAF combo becase it was simple, kept the same id throughout, and kept the stock airbox (=simple)
I wanted to see if I could get it as non-flashy as possible... well my car is mostly stock and even when I finish my engine project it will not surpass 400 flywheel horse power. Its modest and so should relfect that modesty with NO flash, NO ghetto chrome! So I tried to make it look like the stock plastic tube as much as possible! I ground off the cast logo and personally powercoated it - using my buddys system - black wrinkle ALSO powder coated the new C & L Mass Air Flow Sensor a 'high temp cast grey metal' powdercoat that was an experiment for use to use as it was a new powder / also first "high temp" type powder we used. I think came out great! Compare the Ford Stock Intake, the stock C&L and my modified tube.
